All winning entries will receive written acknowledgement in our programs at the screenings. The contest is open to all California Community College students in fulfillment of a California Community College course or campus media outlet. Failure to follow the following guidelines can result in disqualification.
Each entry must be:
1. Mailed by postmark date to address on Entry Form.
2. Submitted with a signed, official entry form for each category, typed or legibly printed and completed in its entirety.
3. Original work by students only and produced during the period January 1, 2011 – December 31, 2011.
4. Submitted in DVD format and labeled with the following information: college name; competition category; entry title and length.
5. More than one category may be entered. ONE entry per DVD.
6. Each entry must be submitted separately.
7. Only two videos/films per person and per category.
Eligibility and Guidelines
1. Only entries produced by California Community College students in fulfillment of a California community college course or campus media outlet, and submitted as originally produced or broadcast
are eligible. The work cannot be done for professional broadcast stations or related organizations.
2. Faculty may act in an advisory capacity only.
3. All rules are determined by 3C Media Solutions (3CMS) and the California Community Colleges Regional Programming Centers (RPCs) and may be amended at any time.
4. Entries will be judged on a point system by a team comprised
of media professionals, faculty, staff and student peers.
5. Entrants must have in their possession, evidence of copyright permission for any material not covered by a campus institutional agreement with ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, or any other licensing organization, to be available upon request. Programs produced with significant resources outside of the student community are not accepted. 3C Media Solutions is not responsible for any misuse of copyrighted or licensed materials.
6. 3CMS is the final authority on all matters involving the contest.
7. Entries will be judged on technical, creative, and content elements.
8. The film and video festival is free to all California Community College students.
9. Employees of 3C Media Solutions are not eligible.
Call for Entries
Guidelines for DVD’s
1. Format: DVD-R (DVD minus-R).
2. DVD’s must be finalized and compatibility tested on a different DVD player than the one used to burn entry.
3. The readability of the DVD is the responsibility of the entrant.
4. Printed DVD labels (paper labels) are NOT suggested; instead, use a permanent marker to print the required information on the disk. Ink jet or laser printing that can be applied directly to DVD face will be accepted.
5. Do not send masters. (Entries will not be returned)

Since we do not guarantee that entries will be viewed in their entirety, you may include a (1) page type-written summary/explanation of your entry plot. You are also encouraged to submit a brief shot sheet with viewing suggestions for the judges.
